The Delaware Tribe of Indians
The Delaware Tribe of Indians is a federally recognized tribe of the Lenape people with a rich history stretching back centuries — among the first Indigenous nations to encounter European settlers and the first to sign a treaty with the newly formed United States Government. Today, the Tribe serves its members from headquarters in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, offering an extensive range of government services, cultural programs, and community resources.
We designed and developed a comprehensive digital presence for the Tribe, including their primary public-facing website at delawaretribe.org, a private Tribal Member Portal, and a Trust Board Portal — three interconnected sites built to serve both the general public and the Tribe’s internal governance needs. The designs were rooted in the Tribe’s established tribal crest, honoring their identity and heritage throughout every element of the digital experience.

Client Overview
The Delaware Tribe of Indians operates as a full tribal government, providing services that span enrollment, housing, childcare, elder nutrition, family and children’s services, cultural education, historic preservation, environmental programs, and more. The scope of this project reflected that complexity. We built the public website to serve as a clear, accessible hub for tribal members, prospective members, and the general public — organizing a wide breadth of departments, programs, and resources into an intuitive, welcoming experience. Alongside the main site, we developed a password-protected Tribal Member Portal and a separate Trust Board Portal to support the Tribe’s internal government functions. No logo design was part of this project; instead, we drew from the Tribe’s existing tribal crest as the visual foundation for all three sites, ensuring a cohesive and culturally respectful design across the entire digital ecosystem.
